Beith Street Student Accommodation

Brief Project Overview:

This striking 2 block, 702 bed development is the first step in the rejuvenation of the Partick waterfront. It addresses the city’s growing demand for high density student living space, but it also creates a much needed quality external community space.

107 Charing Cross Road, New Foyles Bookshop and The Saint Martins Loft Apartments

Brief Project Overview:

The scheme comprised of high specification residential apartments over 3 levels together with retail areas covering 37,000 sq ft (8 levels) including a new bookshop for Foyles. Lesterose worked closely with the main contractor, Mace, and our client was a JV venture partnership between Aquila Holdings and the Noved Property Group. For Lesterose, works commenced in June 2013 completing in March 2014.

NISA (Emirates Arena) and Velodrome, Glasgow, Scotland

Brief Project Overview:

The Emirates Arena and adjoining Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in the East End of Glasgow form one of the most versatile structures of its kind in Europe. These state-of-the-art facilities were one of the first host venues for the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games to be completed kick-starting the areas widespread regeneration.

Brief Project Overview:

Part of a £820m redevelopment of the regions education establishments this initiative aimed to provide 15,000 school children in West/Central Scotland with contemporary learning environments.

Duke of York HQ and Barracks, London

Brief Project Overview:

This project involved the conversion of the existing DOY HQ into the Saatchi Gallery; a modern art gallery to hold contemporary works from all over the world.  The scope involved the conversion of the existing building and brand new construction of three additional residential  areas that were linked to the main building by a glazed walkway.

The Mews and the Art Gallery building was a traditional build constructed by using a block built internal skin and cavity which was then followed by a brick and stone external façade.  All internal partitions were also constructed with block.
