Trevor Walker

Health, Safety & Environment Manager

Trevor served 22 years with Her Majesties Forces serving in the Royal Engineers gaining experience on a world wide scale in plant machinery operations & management, instructional/ training roles, NVQ assessment, resources procurement, asset management, facilities management and health safety & environmental management.

Upon leaving the forces in 2005, Trevor Joined MSK as a Contracts Manager gaining experience with MSK procedures and Client protocol. His current responsibility is as MSK’s HS & E manager with an overall accountability for all MSK training; in house & external, MSK site logistics and strip out operations and the waste recycling operations at the MSK Waste Management & Recycling Facility. 

Trevor holds professional membership/ accreditation to Institute of Occupation Safety & Health; IOSH, (Grad IOSH status), the British Institute of Facilities Management (MBIFM) and the Institute of Leadership & Management (MinstLM).

In his spare time Trevor enjoys the outdoor life, caravanning & has a keen interest in all sports.

Steve Ridgley

Health, Safety & Environment Manager

Steve is an experienced and recognised professional qualified in Occupational Health & Safety Practice and Environmental Management.  During his career he has attained numerous levels of qualifications to enhance credibility and competence to his role. Steve has been in the construction industry for almost a quarter of a century and with 12 years spent as a Safety & Health Professional. His experience and knowledge enable him to be one of the most forward thinking practitioners within the construction arena.  He has a no nonsense approach and the ability to tackle problems head on.

Steve holds Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) and is a Recognised Safety Practitioner (RSP) with full membership of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).  He also has extensive experience in environmental management, auditing and assessment and currently holds the Associate Certificate in Environmental Management. He is also an Associate Member of The Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA).

Steve has an all encompassing role looking after both H&S and Environmental compliance on behalf of the group.

For over 17yrs Steven was a semi professional football player until a reoccurring knee injury force early retirement. He is now a keen road cyclist and has completed many 100mile plus charity events.  His most recent event was the famous 300mile 3 day London – Paris. 

Barry Holmes

Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

Barry has over 14-years’ experience working as a health & safety professional, 8 years of which has been in his current role with Lesterose Scotland Ltd.

Coming from a small/medium sized Construction Company based in Edinburgh, where Barry gained some valuable experience in his field, the opportunity to join the Lesterose Scotland Team in 2006 filled him with much excitement and expectation.

Barry has overall responsibility for all health, safety and environmental issues within the Scottish region, including maintaining current system and procedures, carrying out regular inspections & audits and ultimately ensuring the business remains legally compliant throughout all its activities.

Barry also assumes responsibility for the training and up-skilling of existing staff members and promoting a positive health & safety culture throughout the workforce.

Holding a professional membership status within the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), Barry’s attitude towards the health, safety & welfare of all Lesterose employees and general workforce, is one that gains him full respect within the Scottish Business.

With a keen interest in his newly-formed training business, Barry also enjoys a happy go-lucky lifestyle with his wife and 2 kids, much of their time spent holidaying, socialising and having an active interest in most sporting activities, mainly football !
