Hugh Larkins

Hugh Larkins

Divisional Contracts Manager

Hugh has been with MSK since 2007 and has a calm and democratic approach to his role as Contracts Manager.  He’s used to juggling multiple concurrent projects and has extensive fit out and construction experience.  His early experience and back ground was in earthworks and civil construction which is a far cry from his degree qualification in agriculture !  Over the years and before joining MSK he gained experience in steel erection and plant operation.

In his personal life, Hugh enjoys sports and in particular rugby, playing for Canterbury; he also enjoys skiing in France.

 

Mark O’Neill

Mark O’Neill

Pre Construction Manager

Mark O’Neill is a hands on manager with over 26 years in the construction industry.  He has worked in various roles over the years but started out gaining experience in the concrete finishing/brush and kerb sector.

He joined MSK in 1995 as a strip out supervisor and quickly earned respect for his man management skills and ability to get the job done so was promoted to Contracts Manager in 2000.   Subsequently in 2006, he was also given responsibility for the security side of MSK’s business which involves him in recruiting security guards, carrying out the relevant checks, arranging their training and inductions and generally supervising their activities.  At the start of a project he’s the person that MSK rely on to carry out security inspections and site visits to assist clients with scoping out their particular security requirements.  He is quite often involved in making recommendations where this is required.

Mark’s passion is music and in his spare time gets involved as a session guitarist and regularly gigs with various bands; he is a well known character on the London music scene.  His other passion is pool where he currently plays in a Surrey County Pool League.

Chris Stander

Contracts Manager

Chris started in construction in 1994 back in his native South Africa.  He began his career in the family building business which concentrated on residential and small scale commercial and retail projects.  In 2004 he relocated to the UK and joined MSK as a labourer.  He very quickly gained recognition for his efficiency and management skills and in 2005 became a Contracts Manager looking after several concurrent projects.

To gain more experience, Chris spread his wings and joined another Logistics company in 2011 but re-joined MSK in 2014 to take up his current role of Pre-Construction Manager.  Within that role, his responsibility is to act in an advisory capacity to clients and to ensure MSK projects are set up and equipped to get off to a good start.

Outside of work, Chris spends his spare time fly fishing all over the UK and enjoys radio controlled model cars.

Contracts Manager

Garry joined MSK in 2006 as a Contracts Manager and before joining MSK his back ground consisted of extensive experience in the earth moving and civil sectors of construction.  He spent five years working on the M2 in Kent.

Garry is a tenacious manager and prides himself on managing a tight and efficient team.  He has wide experience of various sectors, projects and clients and is the first choice for projects which are outside of the M25 area covering the south eastern regions.  He has worked extensively on some very complex and high specification fit out projects.

Garry is keen on sports and music in his spare time.

Ewerson Louzano

Ewerson Louzano

Contracts Manager

Ewerson joined MSK in 2006 straight from college after completing his education in Brazil.

Over the years, Ewerson has carried out a number of different roles on various projects and has gained extensive experience in labour supervision, waste, logistics and traffic management.

His day to day experience involves liaising with main contractors, site set up, placing orders for materials and plant, organising welfare facilities, arranging removal of waste and ensuring adequate labour resource.

Ewerson has proved himself to be a very calm and conscientious manager who is respected by clients and colleagues alike.

Jon Doughty

Contracts Manager

Jon joined MSK in 2015 and brings a lot of enthusiasm to the role.  During his career he has spent time within a construction commercial environment gaining experience on package management and progress monitoring, together with construction management working on projects involving demolition, new build and fit out.

His day to day duties will involve organising resources, labour, plant and materials and building relationships with clients.

In his spare time, Jon is a very keen West Ham fan but has also participated in several Triathlon events organised to raise money for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust.

David Stone

David Stone

Project Manager

David joined Lesterose in 1996 as an engineer’s assistant but went on to complete his apprenticeship which also gave him experience in scaffolding and engineering solutions, logistics and management.  Since that time he has gained extensive experience on some of Lesterose’s most high profile projects including the Duke of Yorks HQ, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford and the Bluewater Retail development.

David is one of our most dynamic and enthusiastic Project Managers and due to his very hands on approach has gained an excellent understanding of the construction process.  He is technically astute and is very able at finding solutions to design and/or product based problems.  He is, rightly so, very proud of his work related achievements.

In his spare time he enjoys all sport and participates where he can.  He enjoys spending time with his friends and family and is a very avid Arsenal fan !

 

John Blake

Project Manager

John is an experienced and hands on manager with nearly 30 years experience in the industry.  He joined LBL in 1988 and has worked his way up and learnt the trade and is now a well respected project manager.

He has worked on numerous projects over the years gaining extensive knowledge of all elements of the PM role.  Some of the more high profile projects include Bluewater, Oracle, BBC Portland Place and Touchwood RetailCentre.

Outside of the job, John loves travelling, cycling and football.  He is also a very committed fundraiser for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund and is always ready for a new challenge !

Lee Ledger

Senior Contracts Manager

Lee is a committed and technically skilled Senior Contracts Manager with 30 years experience in the construction industry.

Lee commenced his career as an apprentice with Wiffen where he learnt the ropes on various types of projects.  Since joining LBL in 1991 as a bricklayer, Lee went from strength to strength, climbing the ranks and becoming one of the company’s most experienced and respected managers.  Over the years, Lee has gained experience on some of our most high profile projects including Bluewater, Touchwood, Stratford Upon Avon Shakespeare Theatre and most lately what is affectionately known as the “Walkie Talkie” building on Fenchurch Street.  Lee is an all rounder and has huge experience in all types of brick and block construction together with ancillary packages e.g. brick clad pre fabricated panels.

Current day to day duties include the co-ordination of multiple projects, monitoring programmes, planning and managing resources and for implementing and continuous monitoring of LBL H&S and Quality systems.  He’s also conquered the use of the various collaboration systems including the 3D and modelling element.

Outside of work, Lee is a family man but doesn’t mind having a go at DIY and a bit of gardening !

Trevor Wynes

Trevor Wynes

Engineer/Project Manager

Trevor is an astute and proactive manager who joined Lesterose in 2007 and has 22 years solid experience in the construction industry behind him.  Before he joined LRB, he worked for Lyons and Annoot as a bricklayer gaining his surveying and setting out qualifications.  Trevor has carried out various roles in his career which have given him all round experience and made him the valuable member of the team he is today.

His current role as engineer keeps him busy producing design drawings on CAD, raising design queries, setting out, producing schedules and is generally responsible for the Quality Assurance of any LRB installations.

Trevor is into most sports particularly football, darts and golf.  He is keen to learn new technology in his leisure time but also has to make some time for the family !

Phil Wright

Site Manager

Phil is one of LBL’s most experienced and tenacious Site Managers with over 30 years experience in construction under his belt.  During this time he worked for various contractors and joined LBL in 1999 as a bricklayer.  His qualities were quickly recognised by us and he moved up the ranks to become a Site Manager.

Phil has worked on some very prestigious projects including Canary Wharf, Bond Street and the high profile residential development, One Hyde Park at Knightsbridge and his commitment and drive made a huge contribution to the success of these schemes.

On a day to day basis, Phil is responsible for project resources, managing the trades and plant operatives, client liaison, deliveries, design issues and the day to day H&S functions including tool box talks etc.

Outside of work, Phil enjoys his family life but is not adverse to a bit of “footy”, supporting Spurs, watching a bit of horse racing and keeping fit !

Simon Parker

Simon is a very experienced engineer with nearly 30 years in the industry behind him.  He is a proactive and hands on manager who has a calm and common sense approach to resolving work related problems.

Simon’s day to day duties include not just setting out, surveying and producing CAD details but also managing his team, ordering materials and liaising with the main contractors, design teams and clients.  Over the years he has been involved with some of the most high profile projects that LBL have worked on where his contribution to the success of those projects has been invaluable.

Outside of the job, Simon has very extensive outdoor interests including motor and water sports such as wake boarding and surfing.  He has also competed at a semi professional level in free style jet skiing and has also had a passion for flying, having piloted paragliders, gliders and micro lights.  If that wasn’t enough he is also pursuing his helicopter license and finds time to spend with the family !

Robert has over 25 years experience in the construction industry starting out as an apprentice bricklayer progressing over the years to looking after his own jobs.  His main expertise lies in quality control and getting jobs over the line.

Current day to day responsibilities include dealing with the day to day issues which arise on site and liaising with the workforce

Willie began his engineering career as a trainee with Lesterose in 2007.  Now a fully qualified Engineer he has went on to develop a substantial knowledge of construction management.  His practical approach to daily tasks and attention to detail demonstrate a commitment to quality that is in keeping with the company’s high standards.

Daily responsibilities include managing operatives, project coordination, package delivery, setting-out and quality control.

Stevie Wilkie

Stevie has over 30 years experience in the construction industry starting out as an apprentice bricklayer and going on to work for Lesterose on the Buchanan Galleries development in 1997.  From there Stevie has progressed over the years to his current role of Project Manager and he is now responsible for the delivery of many high profile projects.

Daily responsibilities include managing operatives, project coordination, package delivery and quality control.

Jim has over 30 years experience in the construction industry starting out as an apprentice bricklayer.  Since working at site level with Lesterose in 1997 he has worked his way through the ranks at to his current role as Project Manager.  Jim is responsible for some of the largest projects delivered by the company over the years.

Daily responsibilities include managing operatives, project coordination, package delivery and quality control.

Alex McKinnon

Alex has over 20 years experience in the construction industry starting out as an apprentice bricklayer progressing over the years to his current role as Construction Manager.

Daily responsibilities include managing operatives, project coordination, package delivery and operative management.

Adam Agnew

Project Manager

Adam has 15 years experience in the construction industry coming through university and working with both main contractors and sub contractors.  His main expertise lies within engineering, project managing, surveying, programming and contracts.  Adam continues to develop his knowledge within the industry and recently studied a post grad in Construction Law at Strathclyde University.

Day to day responsibilities include managing the site workforce and ensuring a high level of quality control over materials and workmanship whilst ensuring the job comes in on time and budget.  Adam takes a pro-active approach always looking ahead to foresee potential issues which could impact on the project.

Michael Lynn

Michael has over 45 years experience in the construction industry starting out as an apprentice bricklayer progressing over the years to his current role as Project Manager.  Michael has delivered packages across an array of market sectors including extensive experience in government projects such as prisons and schools as well as large-scale commercial developments.
